Just been buying a few domains which are similar to my client’s main website name. This is good practice to do. This prevents people/businesses either pretending to be your company, or prevents confusion to customers who land on a website with a similar domain name who does the same sort of business, even in the same area.

You don’t want to lose business just because a customer has gone to the wrong website because it had a similar domain name!

So it is good practice to buy domain names close to your own as part of a business protection strategy.

If you buy the then think about the .co and .uk and if you go international then definitely buy the .com.
